From 4 to 9 November 2024, Friedensau Adventist University invites you to the Autumn Week of spiritual emphasis. From Monday to Friday, the daily events will take place at 7.30 pm in the Barn. The closing service will be celebrated on Saturday, 9 November 2024, at 10 a.m. (with translation), as a joint service in the chapel.
Pastor Franklin Schultheiß from Nuremberg has been invited to speak. The theme of the week of reflection is ‘Be Transformed’ – and is based on the Bible text in Romans 12:2: ‘Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and discern what the will of God is – his good, pleasing and perfect will.’ Pastor Schultheiß will speak in English. Visitors can listen to the simultaneous translation, which is offered daily, via headsets. The topics in detail:
Monday: Being and becoming – 2 Corinthians 5:17
Tuesday: Be real – Psalm 139:13–14
Wednesday morning: Meeting under the Word: Does Jesus have favourites? – Matthew 17:1–9
Wednesday evening: Be healed by believing – James 5:15
Thursday: Be still – Psalm 46:11
Friday: Be bold – Romans 8:31
Saturday: Be transformed | Be transformed – Romans 12:2
Twice a year, Friedensau organises weeks of spiritual emphasis as a spiritual offering for university staff and students, their guests, friends and residents of Friedensau and the surrounding area. In daily evening events, the focus is on a Bible text, linked to current topics and complemented by music and creative moments. Everyone is welcome!
