The annual open day took place on September 15, 2024. Around 2,000 visitors from near and far came to Waldfriede Hospital. Numerous politicians from various parties were also among the guests. There was a whole day of offers and insights into the service of our hospital - for example: Lectures by our chief physicians on a wide variety of health topics in the chapel of the Waldfriede Adventist Church; guided tours on the history of the clinic; guided tours of the entire hospital; tours of the various operating rooms - robotic surgery and endoscopy; opportunities to talk to the chief physicians of all specialties; various stands with information material on topics such as hygiene, working with alcoholics, volunteering, offers from the local community, Dessert Flower Center as well as a wide variety of offers and leisure activities for children (e.g. pony riding in the clinic park / emergency ambulance from the inside / bouncy castles and much more). There were also plenty of food stalls. Our Waldfriede Hospital has now been organizing the open day for 20 years.
CEO Bernd Quoß said on the evening of the day: “It was a blessed day with countless conversations and moving testimonies. People came who had experienced the Waldfriede Clinic for the first time. Many former patients also came. Despite all the challenges of our time, Waldfriede has a very good reputation in Berlin-Zehlendorf and also beyond the city limits of Berlin. We are very grateful to God for this. He also blessed us especially on this day with many encounters and contacts, and not least with very pleasant sunny weather in the midst of rainy days.”
