Prague, Czech Republic [Tomas Kabrt; CD EUDNews]. A big adventist vocal group - the Maranatha Gospel Choir from Prague - performed on wednesday afternoon, May 7, in the lobby of the city subway station, Vltavska. The show was part of the anniversary celebrations - 40 years - of the Prague Subway and brought joy to hundreds of passengers. While the singers and musicians praised loudly God, the people stopped, listened, clapped their hands and some even danced.

The celebrations included various activities, held from May 5 to 9, with 45 pop, jazz and classical music events at the subway stations all day long. A large part of the performers were different groups of students from the Jarolav Jezek Music Conservatory of Prague. Only selected groups had the authorization to perform in the Vltavska station. The Maranatha Gospel Choir from the adventist church Prague was one of them. During its performance, the choir offered the best songs from its current repertoire.

The Maranatha Gospel Choir is a vocal group of mostly young people, singing gospel songs. The group was formed in 2005 and it actively performs all over the Czech Republic and abroad.
