Bern, February 28, 2014. [CD-EUDNews – SdH News]. On March 1, 2014 Hope Channel Germany, a branch of the Media Center of the Inter-European Division (Stimme der Hoffnung), celebrates its 5th Birthday. Five years of Christian TV, 24 hours every day! The service, which will be broadcast live at 10:30 (CET), is planned to be a thanksgiving occasion for the past five years. The motto of the German television station “Interested in life," is the special focus of the event.
Ralf Schoenfeld, presid
ent of the Seventh-day Adventists in the region of Lower Saxony and Bremen invites in his sermon to have an encounter with the person of Jesus. Jesus has repeatedly turned to people, hence the o
rientation of HOPE Channel.
"We want to meet people where they are. Provide answers to questions of life and continue to tell the good news. The numerous positive feedbacks in the past few years have shown us that this is possible and our work is a blessing for many people. We are so grateful for this." declared Jörg Varnholt, head of the HOPE Channel TV newsroom. "We are excited to see what God has in store for us for the future and want to thank all the viewers for their loyal support."
About 170 guests from different sectors of society such as politics, media, and representatives of church institutions are expected. HOPE Channel is part of the German media Center Stimme der Hoffnung (Voice of Hope) based in Alsbach. The aim of the Media Center is to provide orientation in relevant topics of everyday life and to encourage people to personally study and understand the Bible and the Christian faith.
The work of the Media Center Stimme der Hoffnung is largely funded by donations. The Center belongs to the Seventh-day Adventists Church, a worldwide organisation present in over 208 countries with more than 18 million members in over 70,000 communities.
