For over 25 years, the Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) has been a beacon of hope for the children of Somalia. In collaboration with the Somali Ministry of Education, ADRA initiated the SETS project in 2017, a framework program designed to enhance education accessibility and safety in the region.

The SETS project’s primary goal is to ensure effective and equitable access to education, making schools a secure haven for learning. ADRA has been instrumental in guiding 26,000 boys and girls towards completing their educational journey and acquiring new skills. Within just one year, the program surpassed more than half of its 2025 target.

ADRA’s extension of the SETS project is promoting sustainable change, guiding young people and families towards self-sufficiency and independence. This initiative echoes the belief that every child, regardless of location, has the right to receive an education.

As we celebrate the International Day of Education, we want to acknowledge and thank all donors supporting children and youth on their journey to a brighter future.
