On 17 February 2021, Adventist News Network, the official news agency of the global Adventist Church, announced via Twitter that the 2022 General Conference (GC Session) would now be held in St. Louis, Missouri/USA.
The Twitter short message service says: "Due to the sudden unavailability of space for the 2022 GC Session in Indianapolis, the Executive Committee of the Adventist Church has decided this morning to move the sessions to St Louis, Missouri. The dates remain June 6-11, 2022."
The date for the Assembly, originally scheduled for June 2020, has already been postponed twice due to the coronavirus pandemic, but the Indianapolis location in the US state of Indiana remained unchanged until this morning's decision.
