Pastor Ruben de Abreu, president of Adventist Union in France and Belgium, expressed deep dismay at the brutal attacks that have left many families mourning in Paris, on the night of Friday, November 13.

At the moment authorities say that at least 120 people were killed in various terrorist attacks and more than 200 injured, according to AFP (Agence France Presse). Ruben de Abreu and the Adventist Unions also expressed condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims and wish that soon the Gospel of hope, the promise made by Jesus Christ will soon be realized, when "He will wipe away every tear ... death shall be no more, neither mourning or crying or pain ... "(Rev 21: 4).

Last Saturday, Adventist groups prayed for the families of the victims, knowing that, on November 14, ordered by authorities for reasons of security, all places of worship were going to be closed in the city and regions of Paris. The week of November 7-14, was scheduled as the annual week of prayer by the Adventist churches, and invited members to reflect on waiting for the return of Jesus Christ.
