Do you want to know how to start, develop and manage a residential type of lifestyle center? Are you managing a lifestyle center and want to know more about others´ experiences in this type of ministry? Then you should attend the European Congress on Adventist Lifestyle Centers, organized by the Health Department of the Inter-European Division of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church.

For 5 days, from May 30 to June 3, 2023, specialists from around the world will convene in Coimbra, Portugal, to share their knowledge and experience on topics such as God´s plan for the establishment of Adventist Wellness/Lifestyle Centers and health and spiritual work done at these centers.

Experts will train participants in how to start a lifestyle center, diagnostic and therapeutic practices acceptable in Adventist lifestyle centers, governance and other legal issues, models of Lifestyle Centers and Wellness Programs, architectural features, administration and financial issues, and relationship with the Seventh-day Adventist Church (legal, spiritual and mission).

Participants will also be able to network with leaders involved in lifestyle centers. This is the first in a series of regional summits on “21st Century Sanitariums, Adventist Lifestyle Centers and Wellness Programs”.

More about the Health Department of the Adventist Church

The Seventh-day Adventist Church reiterates its commitment to the principles of human dignity and equity, social justice, freedom, self-determination, access to clean food and water, and non-discriminatory universal access to available health care. Through its ministry of preaching, teaching, healing, and discipling, the Church seeks to achieve several priorities: represent the mission of Jesus Christ in such a way as to be regarded globally as teaching a wholistic model of evidence-based healthful living in primary health care; be seen at all times as a trusted, transparent ally of organizations with compatible goals and vision, in alleviating suffering and addressing basic health and well-being; be recognized for the unconditional scope of its embrace of all persons seeking this basic health and well-being; and be involved not only administratively but also functionally at every level, including each congregation and church member in this ministry of health and healing.
