Bern, April 26, 2015. [CD-EUDNews]. A message from the Adventist Nepal Church president Pastor Umesh Pokharel.

Greetings from Nepal.

Situation in Nepal is panic. We felt around 96 quakes from yesterday noon till this morning.
82 years ago there was big earthquake in Nepal and many people died and lost their homes and properties.

Yesterday Sabbath we were in the church worshipping outside of Kathmandu valley called Lele typical Newari village at 20 km away from Kathmandu, with old houses. We saw in our own eyes houses were being collapsed. All people, some were died, were out their homes crying and asking God to forgive them for their mistakes and save them.

Kathmandu valley is sensitive earthquake zone and geologists have been warning the people and government about bit earthquake. People were ready to face such a situation.

To cover 20 km from church to home it took us 4 hours. By the time we arrived home it was almost 5:00 pm and all the neighbors were outside the home, we all stayed outside under the open sky, and felt many quakes.

Kathmandu valley (capital city of Nepal ) consists of three districts and there used to be three kingdoms with palaces, temples of more than 200 years old: all collapsed!

Many people died and lost their homes and properties. According to my information Adventist member died so far and four of our churches have some damage (but I need find out more).
Weather is getting worse, it is cold and rainy, which make situation worst and panic.

According to Government of Nepal so far more than 1500 died and 4000 are I injured, but this figures would be 5 or 10 times more. I will be updating you.
Keep paying for us.
